Listen below the surface
We start with what is alive now: pressure, longing, confusion, anger, fear, duty, desire, grief or a decision that will not leave you alone. The first task is not to fix it. The first task is to hear it clearly.
Simple Living Coach
Private coaching for people who feel the golden handcuffs tightening — and want to simplify, choose more honestly, and rebuild life around what is real: family, land, health, community, meaningful work and spiritual responsibility.

Simple Living Coach is the personal coaching doorway, separate from the School of Simple Living public school and the Servant Leader Institute professional training site.
The work is for people who have built a life, career or family structure, but feel that freedom, meaning, integrity or spiritual direction has become too thin.
Bharat brings together coaching, facilitation, project thinking, homeschooling, community building, land-based living and spiritual practice. The result is not a fixed formula. It is a guided process for seeing clearly, choosing honestly and taking the next responsible step.
Golden handcuffs are not only salary. They can be status, identity, responsibility, reputation, a good day rate, a full calendar and the quiet fear of stepping out of a system that already knows how to reward you.
In my TEDx talk, I spoke about the question that had already started reshaping my life: what if success, comfort and professional credibility are not enough, if the life behind them becomes too narrow?
For me, simple living is not a retreat from responsibility. I just wanted to live — not merely deliver, perform, optimize and recover. I stepped out of the hamsterwheel. It is possible. And now I help people explore their own honest version of that step.
My coaching is not mainly advice-giving. It is a disciplined conversation where we slow down enough to see what is actually happening: the story you are telling yourself, the responsibility you are carrying, the patterns you repeat, the truth you avoid, and the next step that becomes possible when you stop performing.
The work combines professional coaching, my experience in complex projects and programs, and intensive training in Transformative Communication. It is practical enough to produce next steps, and deep enough to question the identity, assumptions and fears that created the current life architecture.
We start with what is alive now: pressure, longing, confusion, anger, fear, duty, desire, grief or a decision that will not leave you alone. The first task is not to fix it. The first task is to hear it clearly.
We look for the repeated structure: the golden handcuff, the loyalty, the avoidance, the conflict, the hidden bargain, the story that once protected you and now limits you.
This is where the work becomes honest. We ask better questions. What do you not want to admit? What are you still serving? What are you afraid would happen if you lived more truthfully?
You learn to see the situation from more than one angle: personal, relational, practical, spiritual and systemic. This is where my project-management background helps: complex transitions need structure, sequencing and risk awareness.
Insight has to become speech, choice and action. We translate the work into conversations, boundaries, experiments, decisions and next steps that can survive contact with real life.
The aim is not a dramatic escape fantasy. The aim is a life that becomes more honest, more livable and more responsible — one step, one conversation and one concrete change at a time.
This is self-realization in ordinary clothes: communication, responsibility, relationship, work, money, family, land, body, spirit and daily choices.
This is for busy people who want to slow down, spend more time with family, reconnect with nature, and stop postponing the life they know is calling them.
It is also for people who are not trying to escape responsibility, but want to become more responsible: with their time, money, body, family, relationships, work and spiritual direction.
Decluttering decisions, reducing dependencies, rebuilding energy and making room for what matters.
Clarifying purpose, values, service, identity, spiritual orientation and the next chapter.
Creating rhythms that support family presence, learning, food, land, health and a more grounded daily life.
Moving from insight to action through decisions, experiments, accountability and realistic sequencing.
Before you book a coaching call, you may want to understand what kind of life direction, contribution style and inner resistance pattern is currently shaping your decisions. The VPTI-based DharmaFinder gives you a first map.
Simple Living Coach is the personal coaching doorway. School of Simple Living is the broader school, community and course ecosystem. Servant Leader Institute is the professional training and leadership site.
They can point to each other where useful, but the public page keeps the visitor journey clear: personal guidance here, school and community on School of Simple Living, professional training on Servant Leader Institute.
I bring together project-world realism, professional coaching and a practiced simple-living path. The work is not about escaping responsibility. It is about becoming responsible for a life that can actually be lived.
