"When did you decide to die?"

Not as blame. Not as diagnosis. As an invitation to look: where have I withdrawn from life?

What this is about

Grungy-Workshop flyer — When did you decide to die?

In this 2-hour workshop in Braga, Portugal, we will explore the "grungies" we carry — resentment, worry, guilt, confusion, shame, tiredness — and the hidden payoffs that keep them alive.

The term "grungy" comes from the book Relationships That Work by Dr. David B. Wolf. It names those low-level, recurring emotional states that drain our aliveness without us quite noticing — until we do.

This will be hands-on, honest, and interactive, with dyads in breakout rooms. Bring a hunger for change, curiosity, and a willingness to be present — interact with a small group, and help co-create a safe space.

What is a grungy?

Grungies persist not because we are weak, but because they serve a function. They protect us from something scarier: full presence, full responsibility, full aliveness.

The question "When did you decide to die?" is not dramatic. It is a gentle, searching question about the moments we chose safety over aliveness, protection over connection, distance over presence — and whether that choice still serves us.
