Ben / Bharat Berwing brings 20+ years of experience in IT project management, process management, consulting, coaching and group facilitation. As an external consultant, he has worked in complex corporate environments including Telekom, Bayer, Hugo Boss, Generali, AXA and Concordia.

His background covers large migrations, system integration, software development, agile, plan-driven and hybrid project environments, PMO-related work, business process management, risk, governance, release and configuration management.

He became certified as PMP® in 2011 and later added PMI-ACP® and PMI-RMP®. He is also an ICF Professional Certified Coach and ICF Advanced Certified Team Coach. This combination gives Servant Leader Institute its particular profile: serious project and programme capability, combined with coaching presence, facilitation and communication under pressure.

Since 2011, Ben / Bharat has worked independently as a consultant, trainer, coach and facilitator. Today he teaches live seminars, online bootcamps and self-paced learning formats for professionals who want more than exam preparation: competence, judgment and clarity in real environments.

Credentials reflect completed training and active professional credentialing. PMI® credential dates and ICF credential status are current and maintained through ongoing continuing education.

Alongside his professional work, Ben / Bharat also made a very conscious personal shift. After leaving the corporate hamsterwheel, he produced a TEDx talk about stepping away from a high-pressure life and choosing a simpler, more self-directed path.

He has lived and worked remotely with his family, including periods off-grid with solar power, travel through Fiji, New York, Florida and Germany, and is now building a new chapter in Portugal.

This story is not a rejection of professional excellence. It is the reason Servant Leader Institute does not teach competence as box-ticking. The work is about clarity, responsibility, communication and leadership that still has a human pulse.

Today, Bharat lives and works between Europe and Portugal, running in-person seminars, online programs and consulting engagements with a focus on real competence, honest communication and meaningful contribution.

Portugal has become a base for experiential seminars — particularly Transformative Communication programs that bring together professional development and a more grounded way of being in the world.

The broader School of Simple Living ecosystem includes lived projects such as the Olive Adventure in Portugal — a small demonstration that it is possible to produce real food, work meaningfully and live with less friction. It appears here as context, not as a product recommendation on these pages.

Servant Leader Institute is the professional training and certification preparation arm of the broader ecosystem. It is deliberately more professional, corporate-facing and credential-oriented than the School of Simple Living.

For people who arrive at Servant Leader Institute through professional development and find themselves curious about the wider ideas — conscious life architecture, the Quick VPTI DharmaFinder (Free), personal coaching or the School of Simple Living approach to simple living — the connection to School of Simple Living and Simple Living Coach is there as context.

But Servant Leader Institute stands on its own as a professional institution. It does not require the spiritual or personal development framing of School of Simple Living to make sense, and it should not be presented as depending on it.

A significant part of Bharat’s personal and professional development has been shaped by the work of Dr. David B. Wolf, the Vedic Personality Inventory, Satvatove’s transformational courses and the practical wisdom behind Relationships That Work. Bharat gratefully acknowledges this influence. Much of his work builds on, responds to and extends what he has learned through years of mentorship, practice and lived application.
